Rev. Dr. Mario J. Hatchett is a native of Newport News, Virginia. He is an avid student of the Word having earned a Doctor of Theology degree in 2023 and is currently pursuing a second doctorate degree.

In 2011, He planted New Destiny Ministries in Newport News, Virginia and served faithfully until April of 2021. During his tenure there, the church grew and served as a community outreach location which served as a community feeding location, contained a hospitality program for the homeless and a community resource location for job assistance. The church grew and a second location was opened in Smithfield, Virginia.

Rev. Dr. Hatchett also serves on various civic and religious boards and organizations. Most recently in 2019, he created an organization named The Destiny Fellowship, which is an organization developed to train leaders and equip them with the necessary tools for ministry. He currently serves as the President of The Destiny Fellowship.

When not working or serving in ministry, Rev. Dr. Hatchett enjoys spending quality time with his wife,
